Operation Santa Claus helped make the 2005 holiday season special for more than 6,000 physically challenged New York City school children. Through the sponsorship of the Community Mayor and local businesses, the event was an overwhelming success. In December, the children and hundreds of volunteers gathered in Hangar 19 at JFK International Airport to greet and cheer Santa Claus, who arrived via a Delta airliner.
In addition to the distribution of thousands of toys, dozens of cartoon characters, clowns and music groups entertained the children. “I am pleased that Advance Commercial Movers was able to support Operation Santa Claus. Our trucks transported thousands of donated toys to the event. It truly lifted everyone’s holiday spirit when Santa began to give out the toys to the children,” said Bob Hendler, a salesperson for Advance Commercial Movers and Community Mayor.
