What Does A Local Move Cost?
When developing an estimate for a move, there are multiple factors that we take into consideration. Some things we look at are probably obvious while others may not be. Ultimately as we quote a local move, the price will be based on time (number of crew and hours), and materials.
Considerations factoring in a move estimate:
- Packing services – Are we packing / unpacking
- Packing materials
- Access – Stairs & elevator, walkways, distance from truck to residence.
- Number / type of items being moved – bulk, fragile, weight.
- Travel/transport distance (time)
- Disassembly and reassembly time (beds, electronics, exercise equipment, etc)
Local Move Pricing
A typical 3-bedroom, one story home, will require a 3-person crew working 8 hours and range between $1,800 and $2,400 for a local move.
This assumes a direct move out and move in with no in-transit storage.
