Head to Queens County Farm Museum and travel back in time. On special weekends in December, you can be the special guest at an 18th-century tavern. Starting the week of Thanksgiving, the Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum will open its doors each weekend through December for the Bright Lights: Celebrate the Season program. Take a candlelight tour of the Vanderbilt Mansion, all decorated for the holiday season, attend the holiday laser show in the Reichert Planetarium, and enjoy the white lights that make the grounds festive. Be sure to stop by the gift shop on the way out for some holiday shopping!
